恵庭岳 Eniwa Dake

Eniwa Dake is located very near Sapporo in the Shikotsu-Toya National Park. It is an active volcano an the tallest peak of three mountains that surround caldera lake, Shikotsuko. The most common climbing route begins about a kilometer up from Poropinnai.  There is an unpaved area available for parking if you are planning to go by car.
The trail begins by following a river for about half an hour and then cuts straight toward the mountain peak.  The trail gets steeper as you get higher up the mountain.
